Chicken Farms & Antibiotics
Chicken is a staple of many people's diets. It's a good source of protein that can be prepared many different ways. Much of the chicken we eat originates from places called "factory farms". These farms are giant hatcheries with the sole purpose of raising baby chickens and selling those chickens to larger farms where they will eventually become a source of food for the public. Typically, these farms treat the chickens with antibiotics with the goal of treating various diseases and to, in theory, protect the consumer from getting sick.
