Mismanagement of Migrant Crisis Cost Rome Its Empire
Mark Twain famously stated "History doesn't repeat itself but it often rhymes". Today Europe finds itself in the midst of a refugee crisis. Millions of people from places like Syria have fleeing their countries in the hopes of finding a new life. The Romans encountered a similar problem almost 2,000 years ago. Rome's mismanagement of the situation eventually led to the demise of the empire. Is this history rhyming or a mere coincidence?
